In 1950, Jeannette Mae Jackson and Janet Irene Thomas were the first two African American students to graduate from 精东影业. Named in honor of these pioneering women, the Jackson & Thomas Society was established to recognize donors who share Webster's vision and long-standing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Society membership is granted to those who provide an annual financial gift in support of scholarships, programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity and inclusion at 精东影业.

The Women of Webster fund was established to honor the history and dedication of women who shaped 精东影业 into the institution that we know today. The Women of Webster giving society is focused on celebrating our past and building a stronger future for current students. Kristin Johnson Diversity in Dance Annual Scholarship
鈥淢y husband and I grew up with parents who stretched in many ways to provide us access to educational, arts and sports opportunities. The experiences we had, including my own dancing serious ballet for 17 years, definitely helped us develop skills and traits we utilize daily in our personal and professional lives.鈥�
